About
The Tribuo Arts Platform (TAP) is a new online home for the South African arts community. It’s where you find opportunities, hear artists’ stories and help preserve our cultural heritage.
If you make a living from the arts and have a keen interest in the health of our creative industries – this is for you.
Vision
- A networking platform for creatives (and businesses looking to employ them).
- Quality arts journalism consisting of news specific and relevant to the creative industry as well as stories that celebrate our creatives, both well-known and unknown.
- An archive that aims to become the central repository for South Africa’s cultural history (something that is otherwise still lacking).
- A platform just dedicated to creating opportunities for creatives to grow and find employment.
- An arts calendar that strives to group together all of the country’s cultural happenings on one page for creatives and consumers alike.
Tribuo Fund
It is important to note that as an extension of the Tribuo development fund, TAP
remains a non-profit platform. We believe that, like the industry it serves, this
platform should be able to sustain itself if it is to become a viable resource for
creatives.
Continuous Improvement
TAP will therefore be charging a membership fee and look to partner with businesses and organisations looking to invest in the arts but rest assured any and all income generated will reinvested into improving the platform. As such, TAP will never be a completed product and we view it very much as an ongoing collaboration between ourselves and South Africa’s creative community. So please send us your suggestions, ideas, feedback and tips for stories!
